This joint UN Special Procedures urgent appeal concerns the arrest, secret detention, and subsequent house arrest of five teachers and a businessman in Afghanistan, allegedly at the request of Turkish authorities, and the risk of their deportation to Turkey. It raises concerns about arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance, denial of legal safeguards, and violations of non-refoulement, and urges Afghan authorities to clarify the legal basis for the actions taken and prevent forcible return
