In 2021, we organized the “Stories of Hope” Short Story Contest, inviting children aged 10–17 to share their journeys, new lives, dreams, and hopes with the world—despite the many challenges refugee children face.
Participants were asked to write 500–1,000-word stories, with the option to enrich their narratives with photos or videos. The response was overwhelming: 400 children shared their heartfelt stories with us.
Awards
1st Place – $500
2nd Place – $300
3rd Place – $200
An additional $10 was given to those who added photos or videos.
As part of the contest, the selected stories were compiled into a book and published on Amazon, amplifying the voices of refugee children to global audiences.
This contest became a touching reminder of the resilience, courage, and imagination of children who continue to dream beyond borders.
