AST introduces “Invisible Women” project at Hofstra University

AST Research Associate, Ebru Kaya, visited Hofstra University to introduce students to AST’s youth engagement and community-engaged projects, particularly its work connected to the United Nations CSW and ECOSOC.

Building on previous initiatives, including the Bibliotherapy Project, Kaya also introduced an upcoming project, “Invisible Women,” which will be presented in connection with the 2027 UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) and UN ECOSOC Youth Forum. The project examines persistent gender inequalities and gaps within the workforce and educational systems.

Hofstra University students, particularly those studying Sociology of Human Rights and Globalization, Women, and Development, showed strong interest in the presentation and expressed enthusiasm about participating in AST’s upcoming projects and community-engaged initiatives.
