Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST) organizes the International Poetry Contest to raise global awareness of the ongoing human rights violations in Turkey through the transformative power of poetry.
The contest theme is:
“Poems Depicting Human Rights Violations in Turkey”
The goal is to ensure that victims are not forgotten, and that their pain, resilience, and hope are shared with broader audiences worldwide.
Awards
1st Place – $1,000
2nd Place – $500
3rd Place – $250
Winning poems will be published and celebrated, allowing poets to amplify the voices of those who continue to face injustice.
The award ceremony will be broadcast live on AST’s YouTube channel, reaching audiences around the world.
