Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST) organizes the International Art Contest every two years, inviting submissions in the fields of painting, cartoon, and drawing. This contest gives artists the opportunity to shed light on human rights violations in Turkey, expressed through their own unique perspectives.
We ask artists to submit original, human rights–themed works—art that reflects dreams on canvas, tells stories through colors, and captures witness, hope, and struggle in a single frame. Many submissions are dedicated to the memory of victims and the injustices they have endured.
Selected works are showcased across the United States through the Arts 4 Human Rights exhibitions, where audiences encounter powerful visual stories of resilience and loss. These exhibitions aim to make human rights violations visible through art and to stand in solidarity with those affected.
Contest rules, deadlines, and submission details are announced here on this page.
