๐ฆ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐ ๐๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป, which draws attention to human rights violations in Turkey, was held for the ๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ฟ๐ฑ time on ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐ฑ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ, in the city of ๐๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐๐ผ๐ป๐๐ถ๐น๐น๐ฒ, located in the state of Florida, USA. The program took place during a special event organized at WJCT ๐ฃ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ผ.
Held on the occasion of ๐๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐ฎ๐น ๐ช๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ปโ๐ ๐๐ฎ๐, the program included an ๐ถ๐ณ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ for the participants and a screening of the documentary ๐ ๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ต๐ผ๐๐ถ๐, which focuses on the human rights violations experienced by women.
At this special program, ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฎ ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ belonging to women and children were exhibited. Among them, ๐๐๐ผ ๐บ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ ๐ฒ๐ ๐ต๐ถ๐ฏ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ particularly drew attention.
One of these items was the denim jacket belonging to Kurdish writer ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆฬง๐ถ๐บ๐ฬง๐ฒ๐ธ. The jacket she wore while crossing the ๐ ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฐฬง ๐ฅ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ during the period when she was forced to leave Turkey was displayed in the exhibition as one of the symbols of the tragedy experienced. During the crossing, ลimลek was pushed into the water and survived at the last moment.
Another item displayed for the first time in the exhibition was the clothes worn by the children of visually impaired teacher ๐ฆ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐บ ๐๐ฒ๐บ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ป during the Meriรง crossing. Demirdelen and her husband had been unjustly imprisoned during this period.
A total of 25 university and high school students volunteered in the organization of the program. The event was hosted by ๐๐๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ป๐๐๐ถ๐๐๐๐ฒ ๐ก๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ต ๐๐น๐ผ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ and ๐๐ฑ๐๐ผ๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐ถ๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฑ ๐ง๐๐ฟ๐ธ๐ฒ๐.
The coordinator of the exhibition, Aslihan Kas, delivered the following message in her speech:
