Youth Engagement in Advocacy: Amplifying Voices Through Panels at United Nations

We are proud to highlight the impactful work of our youth team through two recently organized panels: “Beyond Boundaries: Exploring Health, Gender, and Social Marginalization in Conflict and Poverty-Affected Contexts” and “Navigating Gendered Conflict and Displacement: Ukraine, Turkey, Afghanistan, and Palestine.” These panels reflect our commitment to fostering youth involvement in advancing social justice and advocating for human rights.

This talented group of young changemakers began their journey with us last summer, embarking on a mission to explore the complex intersections of health, gender, and social marginalization. Since then, they have been diligently conducting research, providing humanitarian aid, writing, and presenting their findings on some of the world’s most pressing issues.

The panels served as platforms for the youth team to share their insights on the challenges faced by marginalized communities not only in their own communities and home countries but also in many other conflict and poverty-affected regions. From addressing the disproportionate impact of oppression, war and displacement on women to analyzing systemic barriers in healthcare access, the discussions aimed to spark meaningful dialogue and inspire collective action.

By creating these opportunities, we aim to empower the next generation of advocates, equipping them with the tools and experience needed to lead future efforts in human rights and social justice. We are deeply inspired by their dedication and grateful for the support that makes such initiatives possible. Together, we continue to work toward a more just and equitable world.
