On Saturday, May 10th, volunteers of Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST) gathered in New Jersey for a heartfelt breakfast event. It was a meaningful opportunity to come together with friends dedicated to the cause of justice and to share updates on our ongoing work.
During the event, AST introduced its newly published bilingual book, Stories of Hope. This special collection features real-life stories written by refugee and asylum-seeking children who, despite the challenges they have faced, continue to hold on to hope.
In addition, AST’s latest human rights report—documenting the injustices experienced by individuals unjustly dismissed under the emergency decrees (KHKs)—was also presented to attendees.
The gathering included planning for the upcoming Silent Genocide Exhibition, which will take place in various state assemblies. Volunteers stepped up to take on active roles in different stages of the exhibition’s preparation. The addition of new volunteers and the commitment to invite more participants to future events gave us renewed hope and energy.
Thanks to your material, moral, and physical support, we are able to reach more people and continue to raise the voices of those silenced in Turkey.
Your loyalty and solidarity continue to strengthen our hope.
