This bilingual book features heartfelt stories written by refugee and oppressed children between the ages of 10 and 18. Reflecting on their experiences of injustice and forced migration, these young voices offer powerful messages of resilience and hope.

The book includes both English and Turkish texts side by side, making it accessible to a wider audience.

“The Stories of Hope: Written by Children – Refugee and Oppressed” is a compiled selection of the stories submitted for the “Hope Stories from Refugee Children” contest, organized by Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST) in 2022.

You will see how they look at life, how they interpret the heavy experiences they had to go through and how they deal with them, with the guidance of their modest and unsophisticated illustrations.
