Key Issues

One purge. One decade. Three documented records.

Since July 15, 2016, hundreds of thousands of people in Turkey have been erased from public life by decree — without trial, without evidence, without end. These are the issues we document, and the evidence behind each one.

162,239public employees dismissed by decree
3,942institutions closed or seized
234,419passports revoked
1,307lives lost
85%+appeals rejected by the OHAL Commission
Why This Matters

The measures ended on paper. The purge did not.

Turkey's state of emergency was formally lifted in 2018, but its machinery was folded into ordinary law and its victims left in permanent limbo. What began as a single night has become a decade-long architecture of exclusion — one continuous story told across the three records below.

This is not history. For hundreds of thousands of people, it is a sentence still being served.

Be the voice of the silenced.

Read the record. Report a violation. Stand with the victims of Turkey's decade-long purge.
